Lalrinawmi Ralte
Health Coordinator
Lalrinawmi Ralte is also known as ‘Rini’ in short, hails from Mizoram. She has her B.A. degree from Aizawl College in Aizawl, and she worked in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Aizawl for 6 years. Later in 1981 she joined the Christian Studies and continue to get her Master and Doctorate in Feminist Liberation Theology from Boston. Since 1994 till her retirement in 2021, Rini was the Chairperson and the Professor in the department of Women’s Studies at United Theological College, Bangalore. She designed 10 courses for women in the Master’s level.
Rini is social and religious activist and part of the women’s human rights movements, who struggles for gender justice in church and society. She was part of the Women’s 1/3 Reservation Movement, Gender Budgeting movement and also Beijing 1995 and Beijing+ movements. Since August 2025 she is working as Health Coordinator of MAP.
