Deepika Purohit
MAP Fellow
Deepika Purohit holds a B.A. (Hons) in Sociology from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, and an LL.B. from Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, University of Mumbai.
As a Litigation Associate at CLPR (Centre for Law and Policy Research), she engaged in strategic impact litigation across High Courts and the Supreme Court, focusing on gender justice issues. Her work included advocating for reservations for women in Bar Council posts and advancing the rights of persons with disabilities.
Deepika's commitment to social justice is further reflected in her internships with prominent human rights advocates and organizations, including Senior Advocates Gayatri Singh and Mihir Desai, Advocate Veena Gowda, and the People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL).
At MAP, Deepika has joined as a Catalyst for Change Fellow, and will assist with the Gender Empowerment and Equality project.
